Our Story

Live Laugh F*ck was created out of a need, identified by youth, for more comprehensive sex ed - comprehensive, not simply in terms of the content that youth are (or are not) provided with, but also in terms of how it is taught.

At LLF, we view sex ed as an opportunity for youth and educators to learn alongside each other, disrupting the binary that frames teachers as all-knowing and students as perpetual learners.

Together, we can reimagine what sex ed looks like.

Our Founder

Qwisun Yoon-Potkins (she/her) is a Korean/English settler living on the traditional homelands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations, colonially known as East Vancouver. With a background in sociology and social justice, and a recently completed Master’s of Arts degree in Educational Studies, her work explores how bottom-up approaches to sex ed, centering the experiences and stories of secondary-school-aged youth, have the potential to shift dominant narratives not only for youth individually, but also within and beyond their wider communities. Qwisun’s approach to sex ed challenges not only the current curriculum, but also the typical student-teacher dynamic that often hinders, rather than enhances, learning.

TL;DR Qwisun is really silly and chill and wants sex ed to be fun and engaging and life changing (in a good way), rather than awkward and boring and life changing (in a bad way).
